The Fledgling Writer’s Guide

It started out with an attempt to sincerely help students to understand what narrative writing is about. Five years on, and with much research, it has developed into something that is hopefully simple enough for children, parents, and teachers to understand.

The Planning Phase and The Writing Phase

In order to write a good story, the fledgling writer must plan out the events in the story. The fledgling writer must also have a vision of how the story will turn out. This is why fledgling writers must understand the body and order of a short story.

This document may help students understand The Planning Phase and organize their thinking into sections.
